Jr. Payroll Associate

The Jr Payroll Representative will continually work with the Payroll Team to ensure that the payroll product that we provide to our clients is accurate and complete.

General duties include assisting the Strategic Accounts Partners with processing of termination checks, low complexity payrolls, employee transfers, Job codes and garnishments processing.

What you'll do as a Jr Payroll Associate:

  • Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of termination checks
  • Process low complexity payrolls as assigned
  • Works independently to complete assigned tasks
  • Demonstrates flexibility by adjusting priorities as necessary to accommodate last minute or rushed termination checks to ensure on-time delivery and compliance
  • Follows defined processes to set up new job titles for client accounts
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate set up of garnishments and corresponding communications to employees and issuing agencies
  • Research and respond to inquiries from HR regarding employee updates
  • Follows defined processes to complete employee transfers for client accounts
  • Support internal audits of various payroll areas.

  • Communicates verbally and via email to direct management concerning quality issues.
  • Demonstrates initiative in identifying issues that could impact clients or their employees.
  • Takes immediate action to consult with appropriate personnel to resolve problems.
  • Participates in group meetings and shares ideas about process changes that may benefit clients or the organization.

  • Provides excellent customer service to internal customers.
  • Must be able to multi-task and make good judgement calls on priorities
  • Must be well organized

The anticipated pay range for candidates who will work in California is $23.00 to $25.00 per hour. The offered pay to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc. Today'sHR is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work only in other states.
